Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for supporting and administering a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, performance management, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and management while ensuring HR practices align with company objectives and applicable employment laws.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive HR experience within a mid-sized organization, strong knowledge of payroll administration, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Multi-state payroll experience.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, UKG, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting organizations with 100-500 employees.
